
Nkumu Fed Fed, a gender-based non-governmental organization, has successfully rounded off its Mid-Term Executive Meeting in Buea, South West Region of Cameroon. The meeting brought together national and branch executives to take stock of the NGO’s activities and chart the way forward for the second half of the year.
Discussions during the meeting focused on the evaluation of activities carried out from April 2025 to date, preparations for this year’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and plans for the NGO's 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place in Buea in April, 2026 and be hosted by the Fed Fed Kumba Branch.
Speaking at the close of the meeting, the President General of Nkumu Fed Fed Na Beryl Fohtung expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment shown by members and the progress made so far.
“This mid-term meeting has given us the opportunity to critically evaluate our work since April and to identify areas where we need to strengthen our interventions. As an organization committed to gender justice, we are particularly determined to make Activism against GBV impactful across our communities,” the President General said.
A major highlight of the meeting was the session on gender-based violence, facilitated by Maurine Musi, Co-chair of the Gender and justice program area of NFF, who emphasized the need for continuous advocacy, community engagement, and education.
“GBV remains a serious concern, and our discussions today focused on practical strategies to prevent violence, support survivors, and engage both men and women as agents of change,” the GBV facilitator noted, adding that coordinated actions during the 16 Days of Activism within Nkumu Fed Fed NGO continoues.
The upcoming 30th AGM also featured prominently in deliberations. Though to be hosted by the Fed Fed Kumba Branch, the event will take place in Buea, marking a milestone in the NGO's history.
The President of the host branch, Fed Fed Kumba, Na Feh Dorothy reassured members of their readiness to host the AGM.
“As the host branch, we are fully committed to working with the national executive to ensure a successful and memorable 30th AGM. This anniversary is not just a celebration, but a moment to renew our commitment to the mission of Nkumu Fed Fed,” the branch president stated.
The meeting ended with a call for unity, accountability, and renewed dedication to promoting gender equality and combating gender-based violence. Nkumu Fed Fed now looks ahead to an active second half of the year, with strong expectations for the 2026 AGM.
