If there is one thing today that made the female non-governmental organization (NGO), Nkumu Fed Fed stand tall amongst other Non-Governmental Organizations in Cameroon is its effort in the fight against Trafficking in Person. It is this NGO that took the lead when young Cameroonian girls were trafficked to Kuwait. Nkumu Fed Fed being a gender-based NGO took the lead and finally repatriated these young Cameroonians who were living at the Mercy of God in a land not familiar to them.

When the socio-political armed conflict started in Cameroon in 2016, the NGO noticed with dismay the high increase in the number of trafficking persons. To fight against this ill that the armed conflict caused, the NGO organized a workshop to revamp the Trafficking in Persons (TIPs) Task Forces in the North West Region of Cameroon whose Regional Governor, Adloph Lele Lafrique is the chairman.

The members made of partner NGOs, Community leaders, religious leaders, Journalists and security forces who sat for close to 7 hours unanimously agreed to report any case of TIPs and take perpetrators to book. The Government of Cameroon does not fully meet the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking but is making significant efforts to do so. These efforts included prosecuting and convicting more alleged traffickers. Nkumu Fed Fed has vowed to end TIP cases in the North West region and Cameroon at large with the team in place.
