Nkumu Fed Fed pays fees for hundreds, donates to vulnerable, empowers women’s groups

The 2022 back-to-school Jamboree, a yearly event organized by the Non-Governmental Organization, Nkumu had in 2022 over 400 school kids drawn from all primary and secondary schools in Bali had their school fees paid. Not only their ways were paid for, but the children also received exercise and school bags that would facilitate their studies.  

“I am so happy with the gift handed to me by Nkumu Fed Fed. In my bag, I have books, pens, and pencils that I never had due to difficulties in my family. I am happy that the burden of purchasing these items has been reduced from my parents”, said Hamdou Yayna.

11 women’s groups trained by Nkumu Fed Fed on entrepreneurship each received a sum of 500.000 FCFA to start-up businesses that will better the living conditions.

People living with disabilities were not left out as they received bags of rice and other food items. In addition to that the school fees of their children were all paid.

“I am very happy for what Nkumu Fed Fed has done for me and my family. I received a bag of rice which is very difficult to have these days as a result of the crisis. To add they paid the school fees of my three children. Only God will reward them”, said Mr. Kabila Micheal.

“Nkumu Fed Fed has extended my life span with this wheelchair they just gave me. I could not even leave the house nor visit a family member but that is now something in the past. I will be able to walk around and even go to church. I am so grateful”, added Mama Magdaline Nahyela.

Education is a vital tool for the development of any community, Mrs. Eunice Tita Tata says, that children in Bali Nyonga must be educated and that is the reason Nkumu Fed Fed is for. The event ended with celebrating and dancing.
